Tariff relief promised for 'as long as necessary'

Canada will provide financial support for businesses affected by U.S. tariffs for as long as it takes, the country’s secretary of state for financial institutions says.“The support will last as long as necessary,” said Wayne Long, at an event at a Sarnia dairy farm Thursday.“We are determined to see this through. . . . We are going to stand with industry. We are going to stand with Canadians and workers absolutely every day, as long as it takes to get through this.&rdquo
