Sarnia man gets house arrest for convenience store robberies

A Sarnia man is serving two years of house arrest for back to back robberies at local convenience stores.Andrew Surridge went into the Exmouth Street Circle K around 1 a.m. on Sept. 28, 2023, wearing black clothing and a mask. He had a knife in his hand, went behind the counter and demanded the cashier open the register.Surridge took $85 and told the clerk to sit down and not call police for five minutes. He grabbed the store’s phone and threw it in the garbage bin outside the store as he
