Sarnia construction pace beats 2025 benchmarks

Fewer permits were issued at Sarnia City hall last month, but the construction value was higher.A total of 46 permits were issued in July, worth over $9.56 million. That's compared to 51 permits handed out in June, valued at just over $8.6 million.The monthly statistics include a $5 million permit for new industrial construction at 333 St. Andrew Street.There was also a $10,000 permit for improvements at Hanna Memorial Public School.Permits for six single family homes were also issued&
