Nick McLean said failing to stop for a school bus or crossing guard could result in hefty penalties."If you fail to stop for a school bus when the overhead red signal lights are flashing, a police officer can give you a ticket for $490 and six demerit points. If you fail to stop for a crossing guard displaying a school
