New Sarnia-area gas-fired power plant opposed by Clean Air Alliance

An Ontario Clean Air Alliance report says there are less expensive, less polluting and less politically vulnerable alternatives to building a natural gas-fired electricity generating plant on the Lambton Generating Station site near Courtright. The non-profit dedicated to the promotion of renewable energy prepared the report in response to plans by Atura Power, a subsidiary of Ontario Power Generation, for a Riverside Generating Station able produce up to 500 MW at the site in St. Clair Township
