Area hospitals hit with critical technology malfunction on the weekend

Most systems are functioning again at five hospitals in Southwestern Ontario after a critical technology malfunction on Saturday morning.The hospitals, Erie Shores Healthcare, Windsor Regional Hospital, Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Hotel Dieu Grace Healthcare, and Bluewater Health in Sarnia, say it wasn't a hack, and the TransForm Shared Service Organization called it "an extremely rare event."It caused delays in processing for patient care, including diagnostic imaging.The vendor is working wi
