Operation Safe Space targets drug use and crime in North Bay's downtown

North Bay police officers laid 230 charges and seized almost $1 million in illegal drugs and nearly two dozen firearms from the city’s downtown last year. In 2025, the unit completed 26 drug trafficking investigations where 238 charges were laid and more than $890,000 worth of illicit drugs, along with 22 firearms were seized.
