North Bay's Chief of Police admits it's a 'harder sell' to recruit new officers

When many were kids, and they were asked what they wanted to be when they grew up, plenty said they wanted to be firemen and police officers. Given the pressures of those types of jobs, the bloom may be off the rose when it comes to entering into first responder jobs. Public awareness of the stress faced by first responders, the short- and long-term mental health issues, has caused fewer people to apply for jobs.
