North Bay police now laying charges to scooter operators not obeying the law

The warning has been issued. The North Bay Police Service Traffic Section will now conduct zero-tolerance enforcement and will charge operators of enclosed mobility scooters in live lanes of traffic. Police issued a media release Wednesday informing the public that 4-wheel enclosed mobility scooters are classified as pedestrians under the Highway Traffic Act.
