North Bay mayor says Near North school board should have called him on safety issues

North Bay Mayor Peter Chirico says he was “shocked” to receive a letter and see the story in the media about an issue that could have been dealt with by a simple phone call. He said he would have preferred the courtesy of someone picking up the telephone to have a conversation about security concerns at Chippewa Secondary School caused by a homeless shelter, located across the street.
