Life-long equestrian from Callander pushes for change through film and mentorship

Local equestrian Paige Lockton wants to change the way people think about horses, and she’s raising funds to make a documentary to bring to light training practices commonly used within the industry.The documentary is one component of Lockton’s Project New Start, a one-year healing, horsemanship, and film-making initiative. It brings together retired racehorses, young women, community partners, and a new model of horsemanship rooted in nervous system awareness, consent, compassion,
