High winds no match for paddlers during the Mattawa River Canoe Race

Despite challenging high winds on the water, organizers say the 48th Mattawa River Canoe Race delivered another exceptional day of paddling, camaraderie, and a record-breaking performance. A total of 59 boats officially started the 64 km race while five competitors took on the shorter 13 km course.The overall winners of the 64 km race were David & Keir Johnston of Sarnia and Strathroy.
