Coun. Rick Champagne elected mayor of East Ferris

Coun. Rick Champagne is the new mayor of East Ferris. Champagne won the election with a 2-1 vote against Coun. Steve Trahan. The deputy mayor, Lauren Rooyakkers decided not to vote and abstain. Champagne voted for himself, as well, received support from long-time city councillor Coun. Terry Kelly. Trahan received one vote, which he cast for himself.
