Time running out for municipal election candidates, school trustees in B.C.
Anyone interested in running for municipal politics is now facing the clock in terms of getting their names on the ballot.
The deadline to submit nomination papers is Friday, Sept. 11 at 4 p.m. at the city hall or school board office of interest.
To be eligible to run, candidates must be Canadian citizens, be 18 years or older on voting day, have lived in British Columbia for at least six months before filing nomination papers, and not disqualified.
The general election is Oct. 17.
