Seniors seek safer access to Ladysmith’s Trillium Park trails

Residents of a Ladysmith neighbourhood are asking the Cowichan Valley Regional District to make one final accessibility upgrade at Trillium Park, saying a short but steep section of trail continues to prevent some seniors from safely enjoying the popular green space.
While the CVRD installed a staircase several years ago that significantly improved access, neighbours who use the park regularly say another steep stretch at the Christie Road entrance — along with exposed roots at the Chandle
