RCMP: Alcohol impairment suspected in Parksville highway crash

Alcohol impairment is the suspected cause of a single-vehicle crash on Highway 19, close to the Exit 46 to Parksville on Sept. 6.
According to a news release by Oceanside RCMP, witnesses reported the vehicle was driven in an erratic manner prior to the crash and evidence obtained by police investigators suggests alcohol impairment by the driver as a contributing factor.
