Quilpituk Creek wildfire is reported under control: BCWS

The Quilpituk Creek wildfire is currently under control, according to BC Wildfire Service (BCWS).
In its latest update, at 5:13 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 18, the 1,275.7-hectare fire is no longer projected to spread beyond the current perimeter.
The fire that was discovered on Aug. 1 is believed to be human-caused.
