Police shoot and kill man in East Vancouver after reported hostage situation

Vancouver police shot and killed a man on Monday after what is being called a violent home invasion and hostage situation.
Officers were responding to reports at about 9 p.m. of a man running through backyards in an East Vancouver neighbourhood near Trout Lake, arriving on scene to find the suspect had gained entry to a home.
