New laser a ‘game changer’ for prostate surgery at West Coast General Hospital

A state-of-the-art laser is changing the lives of patients undergoing prostate surgery at West Coast General Hospital.
For the past two months, a green light laser has advanced recovery times and lowered risks for men undergoing trans-urethral prostate resection (TUPR) surgery—considered a day surgery.
“This has dramatically changed how we can manage men with enlarged prostates,” said Dr. Zeid Mohamedali, urologist at West Coast General Hospital. “Traditionally, we used e
