Nanaimo RCMP arrest man following Nanaimo North Town Centre incident

Nanaimo RCMP have taken a man in custody following an incident at Nanaimo North Town Centre.
The man was arrested in the parking lot of Next Home Furnishings, surrounded by seven police vehicles, on Saturday, July 25, shortly before 1 p.m.
Jessica Barill, who witnessed the incident at Nanaimo North Town Centre, said she saw a man, fitting the arrested man’s appearance, “ramming trucks and smashing into cars” with his vehicle.
