Nanaimo firefighters rescue man from burning home

A 37-year-old man is recovering thanks to quick action by Nanaimo firefighters who rushed to a house fire yesterday.
Troy Libbus, Nanaimo Fire Rescue assistant chief of operations, said crews responded to the fire Sunday, Nov. 23, at 5:20 a.m. in the 200 block of Eaton Street and arrived to find heavy smoke and flame billowing out of the back of the structure and reports of a person unaccounted for.
