Nanaimo firefighters rescue driver from upside-down vehicle on steep embankment

A driver was taken to hospital after his vehicle went off the road and down an embankment in north Nanaimo this afternoon.
The incident happened on Lost Lake Road, near Blue Jay Trail, shortly after 3 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 27.
According to emergency crews on scene, the vehicle rolled about five metres down a steep embankment and landed on its roof against two trees, which prevented it from tumbling farther down the embankment but trapped the male driver inside.
