Multicultural society in Nanaimo names new executive director

A non-profit that assists immigrants and people new to Nanaimo will have a new leader at the helm starting next month.
In a press release, the Central Vancouver Island Multicultural Society announced that Angelika Valchar will take on the role of executive director as of Monday, Dec. 1. She has more than 20 years of service with the society and moved from frontline services to her previous position as director of client services.
