Ian Paton leaves B.C. Conservatives, plans to form new party with Peter Milobar

Delta South MLA Ian Paton is leaving the Conservative Party of B.C. to sit as an Independent and intends to form a new party with Kamloops Centre MLA Peter Milobar in the coming weeks.
Milobar will be the new party’s interim leader.
The pair appeared together on the front steps of the B.C. legislature Monday morning (Aug. 24) to announce their intentions, shortly after Paton informed B.C. Conservative Leader Kerry-Lynne Findlay he would leave her party.
