Highway 1 closure near Hope smaller due to ‘reduced fire impacts’

A portion of Highway 1 has reopened due to reduced fire impacts along parts of the corridor, according to Drive BC.
However, Highway 1 remains closed for an approximately 20-kilometre stretch between Spuzzum Creek Road and Aspen Road as of Tuesday morning (Aug. 25).
“Wildfire activity in the Fraser Canyon continues to affect Highway 1, though improving conditions have allowed adjustments to closures,” Drive BC said.
