Laval, Que., mayor taking 2-month leave for brain tumour operation

The City of Laval announced on Tuesday that Mayor Stéphane Boyer would be absent for at least two months to undergo a medical procedure and for the subsequent recovery period. In September, the mayor announced he had been diagnosed with a brain tumour and would scale back his activities.
