New measurement of remote Manitoba waterfall suggests it’s the province’s tallest

Two researchers recently made a more-than-100-kilometre canoe trip to the remote, difficult-to-access Kapakaytay Falls in northern Manitoba. Using a process called digital photogrammetry, they calculated the height of the falls to be approximately 16 metres. That’s taller than Kwasitchewan Falls, widely considered Manitoba’s tallest waterfall.
