Loyalist Township looks to redraw ward boundaries

ODESSA — Loyalist Township is to consider options for redrawing its ward boundaries in an effort to even out representation on council. Council is to consider two options at a special meeting on April 29. The existing council is made up of seven members, including a mayor and deputy mayor, who are both elected at large by all township voters, and five ward councillors. Amherst Island has one councillor and the two other wards have two councillors each because of their larger populations.
