Inmate arrested and charged for introducing contraband into Collins Bay Institution

An inmate serving time at Collins Bay Institution has been arrested and charged after Kingston Police’s Intelligence Unit and the Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) found contraband and drugs inside their cell. The investigation began at the beginning of April 2025. Officers and CSC became suspicious of an inmate who they believe was responsible for bringing contraband into the prison using drones.
