Frontenac Island resident calls for township mayor to resign

MARYSVILLE — A Howe Island resident is calling for “immediate resignation” of the mayor of Frontenac Islands Township. In a letter to township council member and residents, Stephen Sorensen wrote that Mayor Judy Greenwood-Speers’ legal action against the township showed she can no longer lead the council. “Recent events have moved well beyond disagreement or political tension and have now entered the realm of institutional dysfunction and public embarrassment,&rdquo
