Causeway bridge to be lifted for first time on April 19

The modular bridge standing in for the former LaSalle Causeway is expected to be removed Saturday, April 19, and closed to traffic and pedestrians from 9 a.m. to midnight. Public Services and Procurement Canada, which owns and operates the causeway, has proposed a schedule that would see the prefabricated bridge removed to marine traffic through every Saturday between May 31 and Sept. 6.
