Arsonist pleads guilty in Napanee rooming house death

What was scheduled as a preliminary hearing in a Napanee court room turned into a trial on May 2 as Andrew Thompson pleaded guilty to killing Walter Lasher by setting fire to a Napanee rooming house in the summer of 2024. Thompson was initially charged with several counts, including first-degree murder.
