When Don Lee and Yan Yi Zhao announced Friday that they were retiring and closing their downtown Kingston restaurant of more than 40 years, The Silver Wok, in about a week, the couple was unprepared for their customers’ reaction to the news. “We didn’t anticipate this overwhelming response,” Don Lee, who was out doing deliveries for the first half of Friday before going back to help in the short-staffed kitchen, said the following day. “Everybody says, ‘Well,
