‘They’re all better than what’s there now’: St. Catharines residents react to plans for abandoned GM site

The City of St. Catharines presented three plans for the lands in and around the abandoned and contaminated General Motors site and heard from the public at a meeting Tuesday night. Part of the Ontario Street Corridor Secondary Plan Study, the concepts detail potential uses, layouts and densities for the area along Ontario Street from the QEW in the north to Welland Avenue in the south.
