Young driver from Lively facing stunt driving charge

A novice driver from Lively is facing charges following a traffic stop in the Township of Northeastern Manitoulin and the Islands (NEMI).On July 5, at approximately 7:30 a.m., an officer with the Manitoulin Detachment of the OPP was conducting patrols on Highway 6 in NEMI Township when they saw a vehicle travelling 148 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone.The officer stopped the driver and discovered they were a novice driver. Police issued a roadside breath demand with the Approved Screening Device.
