One person dead in Manitoulin Island fire

One person has died in an early morning fire on Manitoulin Island on Sept. 3.The Manitoulin Detachment of the OPP said officers were called to a structure fire on Hawk Road in the Township of Billings at 7:15 a.m. The Township of Billings and the Gore Bay fire departments and Emergency Medical Services also responded.Emergency personnel found one person inside the structure, who was deceased.
