Greater Sudbury continues to add jobs: Statistics Canada

Even though Greater Sudbury’s unemployment rate edged up in May, the city added 900 full-time jobs last month, according to Statistics Canada’s labour force survey data.Combined with a loss of 600 part-time positions, this led to an increase of 300 total jobs in May, StatsCan said.“Full-time employment has recovered since reaching a bottom in November 2025 and now stands at a record high,” the agency said in its report.Meanwhile, the unemployment rate in Greater Sudbury
