Province and feds dedicate $24 million to new continuing care home spaces in Spirit River

Alberta Health Services is set to open Spirit River's first Type B Continuing Care Home spaces to help residents receive a "higher level" of care closer to home.
The Province and the Federal Government have committed $24 million in funding to replace the current Pleasant View Lodge, and according to AHS, the new facility will see 52 supportive living spaces that were previously unavailable in Spirit River.
