Peace River issues fire ban amid dry conditions

The Town of Peace River has issued a fire ban, replacing a fire advisory, thanks in large part to dry conditions and continued fire danger in the region.Municipal officials say all outdoor wood fires are now prohibited, including campfires on public and private lands, campgrounds, and backyard firepits. Also prohibited are charcoal briquette BBQs, open flame oil devices, or the use fireworks, flame powered floating lanterns or exploding targets.
