SIU clears SDG OPP officer after man goes unconscious at Long Sault detachment

LONG SAULT — The Special Investigations Unit found that an SDG OPP officer did not commit a criminal offence following an investigation in connection with a man’s condition on Dec. 16, 2024. The SIU’s mandate was invoked after SDG OPP officers found a 34-year-old man unconscious in the holding cells at the Long Sault detachment.
