Cornwall Transit budget includes slight fare increase in 2026

Cornwall council heard last month that Cornwall Transit has budgeted for a modest fare increase. The increase will see riders pay an additional $2 for monthly passes or 10-ride cards, and an additional $0.25 for family day passes, should council adopt the city’s 2026 draft budget as presented. These increases would come into effect on March 1. Cash fares for single rides would not change. Manager of Cornwall Transit Jean Marcil spoke to the department’s budget during a meeting on Dec
