Cornwall police charge woman with shoplifting, breach

A 39-year-old woman is facing two charges after police investigated a complaint from a business on Ninth Street West.Police alleged the woman removed merchandise from the store without paying for it on April 14. She was located by police on Wednesday and taken into custody.The woman was charged with theft under $5,000 — shoplifting, and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace.She was released from police custody to appear in Cornwall court on July 14.
