Chilliwack pedestrian fatally struck by train near Young Road rail crossing

CHILLIWACK — Chilliwack first responders were dispatched to the Young Road rail crossing Wednesday morning after a pedestrian was fatally struck by a train.
According to scanner traffic, Chilliwack Fire, Chilliwack RCMP and B.C. Ambulance Service paramedics were paged for the report of a patient under a train at about 8:45 a.m.
First responders radioed dispatch to say the patient was in traumatic arrest.
