Adult male pedestrian dies after being struck by vehicle on Highway 1 east of Chilliwack

CHILLIWACK — Mounties say they are investigating a fatal motor vehicle incident that claimed the life of an adult male pedestrian east of Chilliwack Monday night.
According to a statement from RCMP Sgt. Andy Lot, Agassiz RCMP frontline members were advised on Monday night (Apr. 29) at about 9:53 p.m. that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle on Highway 1, near Popkum Road, in the westbound lane. The incident resulted in the death of an adult male pedestrian.
