Eighty-six candidates seek seats on restructured Chatham-Kent council
There will be plenty of new faces on the restructured Chatham-Kent council that will be in place after the upcoming municipal election.And there is no shortage of candidates for voters to choose from with seven candidates vying to be mayor and 79 candidates running for council.The new, restructured council will have 14 council seats, plus the mayor’s seat, in eight wards, up from the current six wards. This is three less seats than the current council structure of one mayor and 17 council
