Chatham firefighters rescue man from boat adrift on Thames River

A man was rescued by Chatham firefighters on Friday after his boat went adrift on the Thames River. With numerous chunks of ice flowing by and water levels elevated for the past few days on the river, the man was trying to secure the boat more tightly when complications arose and the boat came free. The boat drifted down the river and firefighters were able to get a rope to the man from along the riverbank behind a home on King Street West near the Lacroix Street Bridge. After the boat was tied
