The National | Nepal flooding traps hundreds in tunnels

Aug. 30, 2026 | Hundreds of workers are believed to be trapped in tunnels buried under metres of mud from flash flooding in Nepal. Google changes its maps to read Lake America in the U.S. and the switch shows up on several Canadian websites. And, an island suddenly appears then vanishes in northern B.C.
