This century-old general store could be haunted but still attracts Albertans

This century-old general store in the southern Alberta hamlet of Bottrel is one of the province’s oldest. Its rich history, local lore and even ghost stories continue to bring regulars and newcomers together. Owner Beverley Guthrie, who bought the Bottrel General Store two years ago, is now uncovering its secrets, and finding ways to draw more people in to keep the store alive.
