Alberta author urges caution after book publishing deal cost him more than $40,000

Two years after being published by Florida-based Writers Clique, the 88-year-old man from St. Albert, Alta., says his gardening book has been discontinued. Experts encourage authors to exercise due diligence when exploring self-publishing.
