Spoons to headline recognition evening for skilled trades in Brantford

An upcoming concert in Brantford will shine the spotlight on one of Canada’s popular bands from the 1980s and serve as a recognition evening for the skilled trades sector in Ontario. Phil Gillies, elected as Brantford’s MPP from 1981 to 1987, is also a former executive director of the Ontario Construction Consortium, which is sponsoring the concert at The Rope Factory on Friday, Oct. 3, at 7:30 p.m.G Gillies has been involved in bringing a number of bands to Brantford over the years
